Let’s shoot out the paint!

The PAINTBALL fans will make the final encounter of the year in Bansko on 11.08.2007.

The last PLAY PAINTBALL tournament this year takes place at the town’s central soccer stadium. All you have to do to make your adrenaline hit the sky is to gather tow friends and to apply.

Make sure you are at least 16 years old. Don’t bother if not having the required equipment, the organizers provide it free of charge.

You’ll play on a specially equipped Tomahawk Sup Air field. Every team of 3 plays against every of the other teams in its group for 5 minutes. The goal is to capture the opponent’s flag.

The regalement is according to the Millennium series.

JAZZ rules Bansko!

The magic called JAZZ will rule on the stages, streets and pubs of Bansko for a whole week starting August 8th.

This year the Bansko Jazz Festival turns 10 – and every time it was in fact an amazing event trilling the thousands that flock to enjoy the magic of jazz.

This year’s program promises to beat all previous successes - performers of 15 countries will take part. This will give you the unique mixture of musical emotions and rhythms from 3 different continents. The festival guests will have it all: classic, blues, fusion, Latin, nu-jazz, gipsy jazz, R&B, soul, afro-beat and other jazz styles who will contribute to making the 10th Festival the most spectacular musical event of the year.

Although not yet finalized the organizers leaked some info about this years highlights:

• Nico Wayne Toussaint and his band
• The Bulgarian National Radio with the Dutch soloist Denise Jannah.
• Milcho Leviev accompanying to the phenomenal Greek singer Viki Almazidu.
• Kostas Maginas – Greece
• Christoph "Boogie Wolf" Steinbach from Austria
• The flamenco group El Macareno from Spain,
• The Czech guitar star Pavel Ryba,
• The gipsy jazz quartet of Francesco Buzzurro from Italy
• The Polish trio of Wlodek Pawlik.
• The Hungarian number 1 fusion formation Djabe
• The virtuoso percussionist Yehya Khalil from Egypt
• Special festival guest is Janice Harrington known as the Lady Blues-Gospel, and her band from the USA.
• SHAPE International Big Band

The festival guests will have free of charge entrance to all performances on stage. It’s the feast’s tradition that the daily stage performances go on and dissolve into jam sessions and improvisations at the pubs and discos. The event charges the air with a huge positive emotion that make the fans remember every festival till the next year’s one.

Tourist tip: Plan and book well in advance. Bansko will be amazing from 8th to 13th this year, but it will be crowded as well.
