Since 26.07 the guests of the Bansko summer resort chill down with tons of cool beer in the hottest summer from over 120 years. The beer fest goes till 05. August with lots of beer, fine food and joyful music.

On 15 June was turned the first sod of Mall Bansko. The size of the investment of Bansko Privilege Resort Ltd is to the amount of 5 million euro. The shopping mall is situated in a convenient proximity to the lower station of the Gondola lift and Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena. The most of the hotels in the resort are situated in the area where Mall Bansko will open gates.

As planned Mall Bansko should open its doors in the summer 2008.The guests of the resort will enjoy a pleasurable shopping paradise, where they would find everything under one roof – from bank services, to specialized sports equipment and fine restaurants and bars.

The colorful Bansko Traditions Feast starts on the 17 of May and goes for 10 days till 27 of May. The guests of Bansko will have the unique chance to encounter the zealously preserved traditions and culture of the Bansko region.

Painting Exhibitions, Folklore Concerts, Cooking and Gardening contests are among the Highlights of the feast. The locations are: community cultural club N. Y. Vaptsarov, The House of Arts, The Velyanov House. Guest of the resort are advised to obtain the detailed information at the hotel of their stay.

Nexcom Bulgaria, the interdependent telecom services provider officially announced the launch of its newly established WiMAX service in Bansko.

The resort becomes the first Bulgarian town, where Internet can be accessed from whatever point within the town. Nexcom will extend its service towards Razlog, the Villages Dobrinishte and Banya aiming to cover the entire Valley of upper Mesta River with a wireless network.
